Maryland State House Organic Land Care Demonstration Project

 

The State of Maryland has launched its “Landscaping Smarter” website, which promotes and explains this model initiative around the Maryland State House grounds in Annapolis advocating Bay-friendly lawn care that is pesticide-free. We especially wish to acknowledge the donated products and services for the project from several business.

The Landscaping Smarter website is part of Maryland’s Smart, Green & Growing online initiative, in which the state is “leading by example” on key environmental issues that also include energy conservation, green buildings and green business practices. The website also encourages Marylanders to practice Bay-friendly lawn care. We want to express our deep gratitude to supporters who helped us make this important model project a reality. We still plan on producing signage for the grounds that will provide the link to this website and a media event this spring. We are now promoting this initiative and your contribution via our website , Facebook page and Smart on Pesticides Twitter feed.
